Ed Taylor

Ed is a chartered architect and urban designer. He brings a wealth of expertise from some of the most pioneering sustainable urban development projects in the UK over the past 15 years.

As The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community’s Representative in Scotland for almost 10 years, Ed led a diverse programme of development and regeneration projects, using a consensus-building process known as Enquiry by Design, which transformed the planning and design of thousands of new homes and influenced government policy.

Prior to this, after graduating from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Ed worked for Page & Park Architects, Robert Adam Architects and was The Prince’s Foundation’s Representative at Poundbury.

Ed is currently leading on the master-planning for both Longniddry and Racecourse Plantations. In 2015, Ed also established Taylor Architecture & Urbanism Ltd.

Rock Feilding-Mellen

After completing his undergraduate degree at Oxford University and then his masters’ degree at the London School of Economics, Rock has worked as a property developer since 2003, giving him hands-on experience in the financing, planning, delivery, and marketing of development projects. In that time Rock has managed private development projects with a combined gross development value of over £200m.

Before co-founding SCC in 2009, he spent over 5 years developing and building out residential and mixed-use projects in London and in northern Europe, overseeing everything from sourcing the deals, securing the funding, project managing the design and construction, and leading on the sales and marketing processes.

In his spare time, Rock is a local government Councillor. He is now the Deputy Leader of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea in London, where he is leading on some major regeneration projects.

Dominic Lawson

Dominic graduated in city & regional planning at Cardiff University and is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He has spent almost 20 years as a town planner, working for the Civic Trust, David Lock Associates, and then becoming a partner at Montagu Evans in London.

In this time, Dominic has worked on many strategic development projects and has helped secure planning permission for over 15,000 new homes across the country. Indeed, he has a 97% success rate in securing economically viable planning consents on the projects he has worked on. He, therefore, brings with him immense technical expertise on what is achievable from a town planning perspective.

Dominic co-founded SCC in 2009. He is also the principal of his own planning consultancy practice, Dominic Lawson Bespoke Planning Ltd.
